Superhuman Personalities on Urantia

"There are many untrammeled lines of spiritual force and sources of super-material power linking people of Urantia directly with the Deities of Paradise. There exist the connection of the Thought Adjusters direct with the Universal Father, the widespread influence of the spiritual-gravity urge of the Eternal Son, and the spiritual presence of the Conjoint Creator. There is a difference in function between the spirit of the Son and the spirit of the Spirit. The Third Person in his spiritual ministry may function as mind plus spirit or as spirit alone."

"In addition to these Paradise presences, Urantians benefit by the spiritual influences and activities of the local and the superuniverse, with their almost endless array of loving personalities who ever lead the true of purpose and the honest of heart upward and inward towards the ideals of divinity and the goal of supreme perfection." (Page 100:6,7)

Probably the strongest spiritual influences which we have helping us are the Thought Adjuster, the Spirit of Truth, and the Holy Spirit. But since these are not personalities, I am not discussing them in this presentation,

I. Here all the time – Permanent

These beings who are stationed on the planet for the purpose of controlling physical energies of various sorts are master physical controllers. They are the offspring of Supreme Power Centers. Not all are persons and not all have powers of choice. Some seem automatic and mechanical, but all are intelligent beings, (page.324:5). Some of them first came to Urantia with the Life Carriers when they planted life here 550,000 years ago, (p.710). And we know the following groups are here now.

Very subservient to superiors (Associate Power Directors), but very intelligent and skillful - by far the most powerful of these beings. High endowment of antigravity. Segregate, directionize, arid intensify energy. Ten are now on Urantia. One of their chief jobs is to facilitate departure of seraphic transports, and they need all ten to do it. (p.325, 326,439)

More personal than some others, and usually in command. They inspect departing seraphic transports. Living switches. Insulate planets against powerful energy streams. Can store energy or release it. Usually 100 on each world. (p.326, 438)

These and the next three are hardly personal. Automatic but intelligent. Seem to understand language but can’t communication. Directionize and upstep energy. Render a distant scene visible and sound audible. Emergency communication. A battery of 1000 assists at seraphic departure. (pgs. 326, 327,438, 439)

These and next group are most slavish. First to appear on an organizing material sphere and can function at physical temperatures seemingly utterly incompatible with living beings. (Perhaps they come before life is established.) Store energy and produce it - catalytic agents. (p. 328)

Enormous antigravity endowment. Can evolve limitless supplies of energy. Chiefly concerned with evolution of form of energy hardly known on Urantia from form of matter recognized still less. (p. 328)

Living machines but intelligent. On all inhabited worlds. Living and automatic presence, pressure and velocity gauges. Barometers. Also clocks. (p. 328)

a) Life Carriers

A corps first arrived about 600,000,000 years ago to study the planet for experimental forms of life. (A corps usually consists of 100 Senior Carriers, 100 Assistants, and 1000 custodians (p. 399). Returned about 550,000,000, initiated and planted 3 marine-life forms: central or Eurasian-African, eastern or Australasian, and western, Greenland and the Americas. Continued here for millions of years- specifically until Andon and Fonta followed the leading of the spirit of wisdom and ran away from their tribe. (993, 400 years before 1934,) At that time an archangel circuit was established. Urantia was recognized as an inhabited world, and all Life Carriers departed except two senior carriers with a staff of 12 custodians. Those Life Carriers have been here all this time and are still here, observing. First 10 papers in Part III are written by one of those Life Carriers, and who could be more authoritative! They will stay until the ages of light and Life. (Other references: pgs. 664, 667, 400, 710, 396).

b) Most High Observer

Soon after the rebellion about 200,000 years ago, the constellation government seized authority here and a Vorondadek Son arrived as an observer for the Most Highs. There has been an Observer here ever since, and the present one is the 23rd. Sometimes the observer is empowered to take over the planetary government as regent. This has happened 33 times on Urantia (253). There was a regency not too long ago (p. 1201), but the implication is that it is over now. At the time of the last one, 3 personalized Adjusters appeared unannounced. They do not always come. He did not give them any duties, but they were among the most active of all the orders then serving. (p. 1201,2). The observer acts as the advisory director of the race commissioners on the planet. (p. 1253)

a) Resident Governor General

He’s one of the council of 24, planetary supervisors - all Urantians. First one came to Urantia on Pentecost, May 18, AD 30. Changed every 100 years. (p. 1254). The 20th one is now serving. (p. 1252). Acts as coordinator of superhuman administration. Coordinating director of all angelic hosts including midwayers. Doesn’t possess actual authority, but hands down rulings which everyone accepts. Most High Observer has veto power (p. 1252,3).

b) Primary Supernaphim

Not usual to have them on the planet all the time - but we do have one permanent one. She came when the first resident governor general came on Pentecost with his staff of 12 corps of special seraphim, Seraphington graduates, master seraphim. She presides over this staff of 12 groups, and heads the council of the 12 chiefs. She is under the immediate direction of resident governor general, but the over-control of the Most High Observer. (p. 1255). The present one is the second to be here (p.298). She wrote the three papers on marriage and the ones on Seraphic Guardians of Destiny, and Seraphic Planetary Government.

c) Manotia – Seraphim

She is the associate chief of seraphim on Urantia. Started as a supreme seraphim, but has gone through all 7 levels (p.426). At the time of the Lucifer rebellion she was second in command of the Satania headquarters seraphim. The seraphic leader went over to Lucifer and she assumed command in great danger. After the new System Sovereign Lanaforge arrived, she, Manotia was assigned to the Melchizedek receivers on Urantia to take charge of the loyal seraphic orders on the planet, and she has been here ever since. She is now functioning as associate chief of seraphim. (pgs. 606 and 607)

d) Master Seraphim of Planetary Supervision

There are 12 groups and they came with the resident governors general on Pentecost, May 18, AD 30. The 12 groups are as follows:
epochal, progress, religious, nation life, races, future, enlightenment, health, home, industry, diversion, and superhuman.

They cannot fully control the affairs of their realms, but can manipulate planetary conditions and associate circumstances that influence the human activities. They can intensify and promote projects, although they can't inject concepts directly into our minds. They can also protect planetary progress against jeopardy and breakdown by using the human reserve corps of destiny. There's a reserve corps attached to each one of these 12 groups (p. 1255:6). The chiefs of these 12 groups form a council headed by the primary Supernaphim and act as sort of a cabinet to the governor general.

e) Administrative Assistants (Administrator Seraphim)

This is one subdivision of Administrator Seraphim who are assigned to local systems, and are present in large numbers on all the worlds. Some come and go, but this particular group is stationed here permanently to assist the head of the government, the resident governors general. There is a corps of 1000 here. (p. 434)

a) Conciliating Commissions (Universal Conciliators)

Created by Reflective Spirits - 3 spirit personalities and 1 semi-material. Judge-arbiter, spirit advocate (presents evidence), recorder and divine executioner. Handle only things of tempera existence and cosmic welfare of creatures of time. Decisions are final. Sometimes they refer cases to a higher court. Divine executioners are masterful manipulators of that which is in the interests of that which ought to be (p. 275-77). They are the only courts we have on Urantia (p. 1254).

b) Court Advisors (Supreme Seraphim)

Attached to all orders of adjudication, from conciliators up to highest tribunals. Serve extensively as defenders of mortals, to see that they get justice. They serve on the councils of the Planetary Princes. Probably some here (p. 428)

a) Race Commissioners (High Commissioners)

They are a subdivision of High Commissioners, who are spirit-fused ascendant mortals. High Commissioners start as race commissioners on planets, interpreting viewpoints and portraying needs of various races. Function in planetary crises and serve as the articulate expression of whole groups of struggling mortals. Race commissioners are very active on Urantia and their various group chiefs are informally attached to the resident Most High observer, who acts as their advisory director (p. 1253).

b) Racial Interpreters (Transition Ministers)

A subdivision of the morontia world seraphim called transition ministers. They work on the planets very closely with the race commissioners to harmonize varied viewpoints of races. On such a confused planet as Urantia they have hardly had a fair opportunity to function (p.553). And working closely with the above two groups, of course, are the master seraphim - the angels of the races.

a) Archangels

These beings are dedicated to creature survival and furtherance of ascending career. They have extensive training as ministering spirits, and closely work with Magisterial Sons, among others. Angels of the resurrections. Call up the dead (p.408,9). First came to Urantia and started a circuit of communication 3 days after the twins eloped (about a million years ago (p.710). First message from chief of archangels to Life Carriers. Book is not specific, but apparently all communication was broken at the time of the rebellion, about 200,000 years ago. (All spiritual circuits broken. p.394) Circuit was re-established on Sunday, April 9, AD 30, about 5:00 AM., soon after the resurrection of Jesus. Gabriel and archangels move to the pole of spiritual polarity and Gabriel spoke first to the system mansion worlds ordering the dead of a Urantia dispensation to rise (p.2024). System has been in effect ever since - not just an ordinary communications line, but a divisional headquarters. Impresses outsiders (p. 408). In a crisis on the planet, the sovereign head would be the Most High observer, except in spiritual matters. In exclusively spiritual problems and in certain purely personal matters, the supreme authority seems to be vested in the commanding archangel attached to divisional headquarters (p. 1253).

b) Experts of Communication (Energy Manipulators of Celestial Artisans)

Technicians of interplanetary and interuniverse communication. Expert in the knowledge of the laws of transmittal and interference as applied to the communications of the realms. Urantia has 12 -most of their work here must be done over the archangels circuit. (p. 505).

Energy transmitters are also concerned with emergency communications- discussed under physical controllers. (p.326, 327).

a) Transport Advisors (Energy Manipulators of Celestial Artisans)

All Celestial Artisans are recruited -- Havona instructors and all other morontia and spirit beings. Energy manipulators are one of 7 groups. Transport advisers are technical advisers to transport seraphim. Most proficient in collaborating with the star students in working out routings and otherwise assisting the chiefs of transport on the worlds of space. Traffic supervisors -- present on all inhabited planets. Urantia is served by a corps of seventy transport advisers. (p. 505).

b) Transporters (Planetary Helpers)

Large number of these seraphim stationed on Urantia. They operate mostly from here to Jerusem and back. (p. 438).

Some of the physical controllers who were discussed at the beginning also are concerned with transportation, particularly seraphic take-offs. Mechanical controllers, energy transformers, and energy transmitters all take part. (p. 438, 439).

There are 7 main groups of seraphim in the local universe and the fifth group is called Planetary Helpers. This is also broken down into 7 subdivisions. No matter what group the seraphim start out in, they all try to get into the reserves of the planetary helpers. "If successful they enroll in the celestial schools attached to the headquarters of the Planetary Prince of some evolutionary world. Here they begin the study of languages, history, and local habits of the races of mankind. Seraphim must acquire knowledge and gain experience much as do human beings. They are not far removed from you in certain personality attributes. And they all crave to start at the bottom, on the lowest possible level of experiential destiny." (p. 426:7). They are primarily attached to the Planetary Adams, but on Urantia most were removed when Adam defaulted. The seraphic supervision has devolved to a greater extent upon the administrator seraphim, the transition ministers) and guardians of destiny. But some of the planetary helpers still serve here. The next four groups are in this category.

a) Voices of the Garden (Planetary Helpers)

These are personal seraphim for Adam and Eve and assist them in the physical and intellectual upstepping of the evolutionary races. Some were left and were assigned to Adam's successors in authority. (Melchizedek Receivers? (p. 437).

b) Spirits of Brotherhood (Planetary Helpers)

Primitive races of different colors do not take kindly to the plan of human brotherhood. These help the Adams to transform the human race. Some are still here and it is remarkable that they have been able to foster as much brotherhood as there is now on Urantia. (p. 437).

c) Souls of Peace (Planetary Helpers)

Peace is not the natural state of material realms. These seraphim help bring it about. They were largely thwarted in their early efforts on Urantia but Vevona, who was the chief in Adam’s day, was left here and is now attached to the staff of the resident governor general. It was she who heralded the news of Michael’s birth here to the other worlds - "Glory to God in Havona and on earth peace and good will among men." (p.437).

d) Spirits of Trust (Planetary Helpers)

Primitive men are suspicious. These beings try to inculcate trust. This entire group was kept after the Adamic miscarriage and has been partially successful on Urantia. (p. 437, 438).

e) Social Architects (Supervisor Seraphim)

They work from individual planets up. Enhance sincere social contacts. Bring together groups to work together. And these groups sometimes work together on the mansion worlds. (p. 432).

f) Mind Planners (Transition Ministers)

These are the psychologists, devoted to the effective grouping of morontia beings. They seek to encourage your speedy development and advancement. They help you to see yourself as others see you and as the angels see you, "Even on Urantia, these seraphim teach the everlasting truth: If your own mind does not serve you well, you can exchange it for the mind of Jesus of Nazareth, who always serves you well." (p.553).

There are others in this group of transition ministers, morontia counselors, technicians, record-teachers, and reserves – who are not mentioned specifically as being on Urantia. It is possible, but their duties seem to apply more to the mansion worlds. (p. 554, 5).

a) Recorders (Planetary Helpers)

Custodians of the major affairs of the planet as they are related to the system and larger units. They record world affairs, but not matters of individual life and existence. (p.439).

"One or more companies of the mortal finaliters are constantly in service on Urantia. There is no domain of universe service to which they are not assigned; they function universally and with alternating and equal periods of assigned duty and free service." (p. 345).

b) Midway Creatures (Hard to classify, they do so many things.)

Called "midway" because usually midway between Material Sons and humans. Permanent citizens of Urantia. Provide continuity of administration. (p. 415). Primaries, more spiritual. Offspring of Prince's staff - about 500,000 years old. Origina1ly 50,000. After the rebellion there were left only 9,881 loyal primaries. Secondaries are more material. Offspring of Adamson and Ratta. About 37,000 years old. Originally 1,984. Now only 1,111 loyal secondaries. (p. 862). They now function as United Corps - 10,992. (p. 864).

They joined together shortly after Pentecost. Act as messengers on the Planet. They are planetary sentinels, patrolling the invisible spirit realms of the planet. Act as contacts with mortals. Act as progress helpers. Assist seraphim of planetary supervision. Act as companions and guides for visitors. Chief work today of secondaries is with mortal reserve corps. And we can thank them for our Urantia Book. "It was the work of this secondary group, ably seconded by certain of the primary corps that brought about the coordination of personalities and circumstances on Urantia which finally induced the planetary celestial supervisors to initiate those petitions that resulted in the granting of the mandates making possible the series of revelations of which this presentation is a part." (p. 865)

The midwayers remember back for 500,000 years. "Thus does the culture of the planet remain ever present on that planet, and in proper circumstances such treasured memories of past events are made available, even as the story of the life and teachings of Jesus has been given by the midwayers of Urantia to their cousins in the flesh." (p. 866).

"The Most Highs rule in the kingdoms of men through many celestial forces and agencies but chiefly through the ministry of seraphim." The day this was written there were registered on Urantia 501,234,619 pairs of seraphim - l,002,469,236 individual angels. In addition, another 191,924,362 were assigned here, but were absent from the planet on duty. And there were about the same number of cherubim and sanobim. They have a great deal to do with the government, and have many assignments besides personal and group guardianship. (p.1250).

Function on planets as assistants to seraphim, both guardians and others. Routine spirit workers. On non-personal assignments and in emergency they may serve in place of a seraphic pair, but never as attending angels to humans. They enter the local courses of training, including a study of planetary usages and languages. Continuously engaged in efforts at self-improvement. Very near morontia level and are most efficient at borderline areas. They frequently work with midway creatures. Quite similar in nature and function. (p. 422:3)

The first thing we think of in connection with the personal work of seraphim with us is the work of the guardian seraphim. I won’t go into that in detail as I think most of us know that part of their work fairly well. We enter the 7th psychic circle just after we get a Thought Adjuster and become receptive to the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Truth – and that means we are entered in a group of 1000 under the guardianship of a pair of seraphim and some cherubim and sanobim. As we move up the circles, our group gets smaller, 500, 100, 10, and when we reach the 3rd circle we get a personal pair of guardians with a pair of cherubim and sanobim. They are concerned with our daily life, helping to make things rugged for us so we will make the right decisions, and they work with us mostly when we are awake – but always in complete cooperation with the Thought Adjuster, who tries to help us when we are asleep.

But there are other kinds of seraphim who help individuals personally and here are some that are stationed on the planet all the time.

One of the seven groups of seraphim in the local universe is called transition ministers. They work mostly on the morontia worlds, especially the mansion worlds, helping us to make the first transition from material to morontia state. But they also function on the evolutionary planets, since our morontia life is really initiated at the conception of the soul. The mortal soul has potential capacity for supermortal function, even for recognition on the higher levels of the morontia spheres of the local universe. (p.551). But we will not be conscious of their help until we reach the morontia worlds.

On Urantia they counsel the human teachers of truth and righteousness to adhere to the preaching of "the goodness of God, which leads to repentance." To proclaim "the love of God, which casts out all fear." It was one of them who whispered to the shepherd boy what we know as the 23rd Psalm. (p. 552).

These are secretaries to all orders of teachers, from Melchizedeks and Trinity Teacher Sons down to Morontia Mortals. We will first see them on the mansion worlds, but they also work on the inhabited worlds. "Even the true and consecrated teachers of time are assisted and often attended by these counselors of the supreme seraphim." (p. 429).

This is one of the subdivisions of the Superior Seraphim, who are in charge of higher activities of a local universe. Many of these are attainment seraphim, who have served in all phases of training and have returned as directors of their kind. Consequently, they do not regularly work on the inhabited planets. But one group is mentioned as functioning here – and they are the helpers and associates of teaching counselors, one of the groups of Supreme Seraphim. A marvelous corps of assistant teachers functions on Urantia for the purposes of fostering and furthering the cause of truth and righteousness. (p. 429, 430). Probably the angels of enlightenment (one of the 12 groups of master seraphim) work very closely with these teaching counselors also.

There are many more seraphim who work with us personally, but these are the only groups who are here permanently, according to the book. Others come and go – and will be discussed a little later.

There are two other permanent residents on the planet who didn’t fit in any other category – so they’re listed as miscellaneous.

Caligastia was the Planetary Prince – arrived about 500,000 years ago. He joined the Lucifer rebellion about 200,000 years ago. He is still here on the planet, but not able to do any harm since Michael was here 2000 years ago. Daligastia came here with him as his first assistant and went into rebellion with him. He also is still here. (p. 741).

In closing, let us repeat: probably the strongest spiritual influences we have helping us are the Thought Adjuster, the Spirit of Truth, and the Holy Spirit.

II. Here Part Time – Transients

No transients that are mentioned in the book – but there probably are many.

a) Reserves (of Supervisor Seraphim)

There is a strong indication that some may be attached to the Most High observer on this planet. The book states they may be attached to Vorondadek Sons on special assignments, such as the observer on Urantia. (p. 433).

a) Ethical Sensitizers (Supervisor Seraphim)

Foster and promote growth of creature appreciation of morality of interpersonal relationships. They sometimes act as volunteer counselors to the planetary rulers, but the indication is that they are not constantly on the planet. Work more in the system and constellation. (p. 433).

a) Magisterial Sons

Perhaps this is not strictly a part of the planetary government, but they do come to a planet on judicial missions – at the end of a dispensation – to liberate the sleeping survivors. Probably work closely with the archangels on this mission. (p. 224, 225).

b) Technical Advisors

This is a recruited group (from the ministering spirits and certain types of ascending mortals and midwayers). They have expert legal and technical minds. Living library of applied law. Work closely with Universal Censors and Universal Conciliators. Some are probably on the planet whenever conciliators are here. (p. 280).

c) Justice Guides (Administrator Seraphim)

Prepare statements for preliminary hearings involving mortal survival. They insure that unerring justice is dealt out with generous mercy. Often function on the planets, appearing before the referee trios of the conciliating commissions. (p.434).

a) Transporters (Administrator Seraphim)

Function in the local system. "Seldom does a day pass in which a transport seraphim of Satania does not deposit some student visitor or some other traveler of spirit or semispirit nature on the shores of Urantia." (p. 436).

a) Melchizedeks

These are one of the most important groups. They have been very important to our planet. They are so versatile and do so many different things. Called emergency sons.

Always accompany Life Carriers when they plant life on a new planet, but the book doesn't say whether they remain on the planet with the Life Carriers. (p. 396).

Twelve Melchizedek observers arrived as advisers to Life Carriers and as overseers of planet when Andon and Fonta exhibited will, about a million years ago. Ordinarily Life Carriers could request a Planetary Prince, but it was agreed that the Melchizedeks would oversee the planet until a Planetary Prince came. So they stayed for about 500,000 years. Then presumably they left when the Prince came. (Caligastia) (p. 735, 736).

About 200,000 years ago (the rebellion) (after the 7 years of isolation) a Vorondadek Most High Observer arrived with 12 emergency Melchizedeks. (p. 757). Also an advisory council of 1 loyal aid of the Planetary Prince, 2 Resident Senior Life Carriers, 1 Trinitized Son in apprenticeship training, 1 volunteer Trinity Teacher Son, 1 Brilliant Evening Star of Avalon periodically (a neighboring local universe), the chiefs of seraphim and cherubim, advisers from 2 neighboring planets, director general of subordinate angelic life and the commander in chief of midway creatures. (p. 759, 760).

About 37,000 years ago Adam and Eve arrived and 7 years later the same 12 Melchizedek Receivers and Van and Amadon left for Jerusem (p. 833). The Melchizedeks returned when Adam and Eve defaulted – a little over 100 years later. (p. 844). They stayed until Jesus became titular Planetary Prince. (p. 1014). Technically, this happened when he terminated the Urantia secession (p.1327) and that was when he withstood Caligastia and Satan on Mt. Hermon in A.D. 25. (p. 1494, 1512). Won sovereignty of universe at that time.

Machiventa Melchizedek was here about 4000 years ago as the Prince of Salem, incarnated. He is a member of the council of 24 (p. 514) and was here as resident governor general less than 1000 years ago. (p.1025). Also recently named vice-gerent Planetary Prince, so will probably come back. He also helped write the paper on Universal Unity.

Others who have been here -- Malavatia, who wrote the paper on the constellations; Manovandet, who wrote the paper on the Lucifer rebellion; and Mantutia, who wrote the first paper in Part IV, "The Bestowal of Michael on Urantia."

There have undoubtedly been many more Melchizedeks who have come and gone, but these are the ones we know for sure.

b) Brilliant Evening Stars

They accompany Trinity Teacher Sons on their missions to the worlds and are the contact with the material world, since T.T.Sons do not incarnate. (p. 232). They represent Gabriel on many occasions and always accompany him when he goes on special missions. Sometimes represent him on special missions to the worlds. (p.407). Also accompany the Magisterial Sons when on bestowal missions and are the ranking personalities. (p.407). They wrote several papers in Parts II and III - and it was the chief himself (probably Gavalia, the created one) who wrote Paper 119, the Bestowals of Christ Michael. When they have anything to do with mortals, always work in pairs - 1 created and 1 ascended. (p.407).

c) Mighty Messengers

Rebellion-tested mortals. Serve all over superuniverse, including inhabited worlds. Act as observers for Ancients of Days and are very understanding of mortals. Mighty Messengers wrote many of the papers in our book. (p.245).

d) Those High in Authority

Ex-mortals who have superior administrative ability. They serve the Ancients of Days anywhere, even on inhabited worlds. One of them wrote Paper 25-the Messenger Hosts of Space. (p. 246).

e) Those Without Name and Number

Ex-mortals with extraordinary ability to worship. Because of their superior spiritual minds, they are qualified to sit in judgment. Supreme jurors of Orvonton. Don't know specifically what they do on inhabited worlds, but we do know one wrote Paper 31, Corps of the Finality, in conjunction with a Divine Counselor. (p. 247)

f) Perfectors of Wisdom, Divine Counselors, and Universal Censors

These three groups are the highest orders of being who may and do engage in the work of revealing truth to the individual planets and systems. All make contact with service to ascending mortals, from inhabited worlds on up. (p.216). They all have written papers in the Urantia Book, all in Part I.

g) Solitary Messengers

Senior order of the Higher Personalities of Infinite Spirit. They travel all over on many different types of assignments. One of their jobs is to be revelators of truth and they are often attached to commissions, which go to the inhabited worlds. (p.256). One was attached to a Divine Counselor who wrote Paper 23 about the Solitary Messengers. (p.256). And one was attached to the Divine Counselor who wrote Paper 19 on Coordinate Trinity Origin Beings. (p.220). Also, a Solitary Messenger wrote all the Thought Adjusters papers and the one on Personality Survival.

h) Inspired Trinity Spirits

Secret order - perhaps superpersonal spirits. Most beings can’t see them or detect their presence. But Solitary Messengers can. One who was attached to the Divine Counselor who wrote Paper l9, detected that one Inspired Trinity Spirit was present, not over 25 feet away, and there were probably three. No one knew why they were there, but they might have been contributing to the success of inditing the paper. This Divine Counselor feels that they function as teachers using superconscious techniques. Some spiritual knowledge cannot be acquired consciously. They probably work with Trinity Teacher Sons to bridge this gap. (p.220).

a) Trinity Teacher Sons

Closely associated with the Paradise Ascension of creature beings. Devoted to educational ministry to mortal creatures and lower orders of spiritual beings. They inaugurate a spiritual age on a planet just before the ages of light and life. We are nowhere near this age, but even now they are visiting Urantia for the purpose of formulating plans concerning their projected sojourn on Urantia. (p.230,231).

b) Creature-Trinitized Sons

They are apprentices, student helpers, of Trinity Teacher Sons. So whenever Trinity Teacher Sons are on the planet, we may be sure some of these are here also. Celestial Guardians and High Son Assistants (personification of a single concept). (p. 251-253)

c) Unattached Ministers (Supreme Seraphim)

These are reserves of the Supreme Seraphim. They work various places, including inhabited planets, wherever needed. (p. 429).

d) High Commissioners

Spirit-fused mortals. Start as race commissioners on the planets (discussed previously) and eventually are advanced to higher levels, becoming High Commissioners. Act as friends of the court. Also attached to missions of the Sons of God to the planets. (p 411).

e) Seconaphim)

Reflective Seconaphim are present anywhere where superuniverse Personalities are operating, so it is to be assumed that they are present on this world now and then. (p.414). However, the personalities cannot get full use of their services because we are still under partial spiritual quarantine and some of the circuits essential to their services are not here at present. They are frequent visitors here, accompanying assigned personalities. (p.318).

Deserted cherubim and sanobim, embraced by the Universe Mother Spirit. Function all over and often visit the material worlds. Very sympathetic and understanding of mortals. Started with guardian angels. Entirely familiar with ascendant plans and thoroughly experienced in the initial phases of the progression career. (p.550). When here, they would undoubtedly work with the teaching counselors and assistant teachers, helping the mortal teachers.

Guide the new citizens of system capital and help them appreciate responsibilities of universe government. Associated with Material Sons there. Also on planets they portray the responsibility and morality of cosmic citizenship to the material mortals. (p.435).

Teach fruitfulness of patience: stagnation is certain death, but over-rapid growth is equally suicidal. To the inhabited worlds they portray mortal life as an unbroken chain of many links. "Your short sojourn on Urantia, on this sphere of mortal infancy, is only a single link, the very first in the long chain that is to stretch across universes and through the eternal ages. It is not so much what you learn in this first life; it is the experience of living this life that is important. Even the work of this world, paramount thought it is, is not nearly so important as the way in which you do this work. There is no material reward for righteous living, but there is profound satisfaction--consciousness of achievement - and this transcends any conceivable material reward." (p. 435).

Many celestial artisans come to the inhabited worlds from time to time to proffer help to the naturally gifted individuals. There are 7 groups, each broken down into 7 subdivisions. Musicians, reproducers, builders, thought recorders, energy manipulators, designers and embellishers, and harmony workers. When they are here working with humans, they are under the supervision of the angels of progress. Seraphim cooperate with artisans in attempting to assist those mortal artists who possess inherent endowments, and who also possess Adjusters of special and previous experience. (Natural ability and T.A.). (p. 507).

Probably does not visit individual worlds very often, but he was here several times during Michael’s bestowal 2000 years ago. He came to make the birth announcements to Elizabeth and Mary. (p. 1345, 1346). He and the Constellation Father were here talking to Jesus during the 40 days after the baptism. (p.1513). He and the Father Melchizedek were on the Mount of Transfiguration (Mt. Hermon) talking to Jesus and were made visible to Peter, James, and John. (p. 1753). And of course he was here during the resurrection (and probably the crucifixion). (p. 2020).

The only time we know for sure that he was here was on Mt. Hermon at the Transfiguration, AD 29. (p. 1753)

The isolated worlds of Satania have not yet been entirely returned to his jurisdiction, but he had great interest in them, and he is a frequent visitor on Urantia. (p. 511).

Their headquarters is on Jerusem. Personal message bearers, serving transition mortals, angels, and Material Sons, among others. These messengers frequently come to this world. (p. 439).

At least twice they have come that we know of. Jesus’ Adjuster was here when he was alive. And 3 arrived at the time of the last regency when the Most High took over. They came unannounced and he gave them no duties, but they were among the most active of all the orders then serving. (p. 1201, 1202).

This is probably not nearly a complete catalog of all the superhuman personalities who are present on the planet, helping run it or helping us in our effort to become more spiritual and to survive. Most likely there are many more that we don't know about.

But the ones I've named are enough to assure us that we are not deserted or alone in our struggle to get along. And this is a very comforting sentence from the Urantia Book: "Your planet is a member of an enormous cosmos; you belong to well-nigh infinite family of worlds, but your sphere is just as precisely administered and just as lovingly fostered as if it were the only inhabited world in all existence. (p. 183)

"Urantia mortals should not allow the comparative spiritual isolation of their world from certain of the local universe circuits to produce a feeling of cosmic desertion or planetary orphanage. There is operative on the planet a very definite and effective superhuman supervision of world affairs and human destinies." (p. 1258).

"Your isolated world is not forgotten in the counsels of the universe. Urantia is not a cosmic orphan stigmatized by sin and shut way from divine watch care by rebellion. From Uversa to Salvington and on down to Jerusem, even in Havona and on Paradise, they all know we are here; and you mortals now dwelling on Urantia are just as lovingly cherished and just as faithfully watched over as if the sphere had never been betrayed by a faithless Planetary Prince, even more so. It is eternally true, 'the Father himself loves you.'" (p. 1259).
